Welcoming Prayer
Holy Spirit living within us, guide our hearts and minds as we welcome today all those who worship at Trinity-St. John’s.  Give us discerning hearts so that everyone who crosses our thresholds feels welcomed in the spirit of love.  Help us to recognize each person as an individual sent by you who will enrich our lives.  And most of all, O God, let this be a place of love and acceptance of all your children; in the name of your Son our Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.

Our young men and women in the Armed Services:
We ask that you pray for peace in the world and remember in your prayers our families and friends in the military.  Please pray for Capt. Josep Pruden, Luis A. Brown, Ryan Edwards, Ted Rico, Clive Harris, Nadia Kendall, Clint Jones, Sgt. Roxanne Parris, Michael A. Hendricks, Lt. Jaja Marshall, John Guerisco, Lt. Jason Carillo, Shari Rodriguez, Edith Yasso, Ronald Bancroft, Elisa Rolden Jr., Reynold Parris, Owen Daniels, Eric Mastrolski, Sgt. Marcelle Allen, Scott Beauchamp, Sgt. Hospitality Hour
Today’s Hospitality Hour is hosted by Patricia Carr. Thank you to the Confirmation Class for hosting last Sunday’s Hospitality Hour.

A Request from the Organist
As the music prelude before the service serves to set the solemn tone for the worship service, it is important that meditative silence be maintained by the congregation.  This will allow those who wish to commune with God and prepare themselves for worship to do so without interruption or distraction.  In like manner, silent preparation allows the organist to focus on playing the organ and giving praise to God through the ministry of music.

Thanks and blessings!
